Course Requirements

Hopkinton four year graduation requirements are:

8 semesters of Math

8 semesters of English

6 semesters of Social Studies inclusive of 2 semesters of US History

6 semesters of science

4 semesters of foreign language

Wellness every year

2 semesters of a visual or performing arts course.

 

*Transcripts for the previous 3 years, grades 9, 10 and 11 should be sent to me at HHS. They should have an official signature but do not need to be notarized. We need these for all students who plan to earn an HHS diploma.

 

*Exchange students will most likely have completed most of these.  Your guidance counselor will work with you to determine the most appropriate courses to take and at what level.  It is required that all graduates take 2 semesters of U.S. History.  

 

*MCAS:  You must pass three state exams.  Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) is a series of standardized tests required for a diploma in Massachusetts.  Exchange students wishing to earn a diploma from Hopkinton High School will take English Language Arts (ELA) and Math test in early November.  They will take a Biology test in early February.
